Locum Tenens CRNA Level I Trauma Center (Duluth, MN)

We’re seeking a CRNA to provide supplemental locum coverage at a Level I trauma center in Duluth, MN, starting June 1, 2026 and ongoing. You’ll work in an outpatient/service-oriented setting that regularly supports ORs, Cath Lab, GI, EP, MRI and CT—most facilities are close together or connected.

Schedule and coverage

• Clinical-only locum position, 7 days/week coverage as needed.
• Weekdays (Mon–Fri): 8-, 10- or 12-hour shifts.
• Weekends (Sat & Sun): 12- or 16-hour shifts.
• 30-minute unpaid lunch.
• Weekend-only candidates may be considered if local.
• Assignment to a specific location will depend on departmental needs.

Typical workload and patient mix

• Patient population: all ages (Peds level II).
• Case load: typically 1–2 longer cases or 3–4 shorter cases per 8-hour day.
• Case mix includes cardiac/open-heart, complete orthopedics, complex vascular (non-transplant), head/spine, neuro, OB, pediatric, thoracic, regional anesthesia and trauma cases.

Clinical responsibilities

• One-to-one anesthesia care across settings listed above.
• Provide general anesthesia across the lifespan (adult, pediatric, neonatal, trauma).
• Manage spinal and regional anesthesia for surgical cases.
• Handle obstetrical and neurosurgical cases.
• Open heart, thoracic, and complex vascular case management (transplants and pediatric hearts excluded).
• Ventilation management and arterial line placement.
• Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues.

Facility and systems

• 26 ORs.
• Level I trauma center.
• EMR: Epic.
• Temporary privileges available.
• Travel, lodging and malpractice insurance covered.

Requirements

• Active Minnesota license or ability to obtain one.
• Board certified (NBCRNA).
• CPR, BCLS and ACLS current.
• Local candidates preferred.
