Schedule: 06:00 AM–02:30 PM
Rate: Travel: $1,596/40 hours

Requirements:

  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
  • BLS certification

Core responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician direction: medication administration, wound care, vital signs, ADL assistance.
  • Perform patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
  • Safely administer medications and treatments; ensure accurate dosing and documentation.
  • Assess, clean, dress, and monitor wounds/incisions for infection or complications.
  • Monitor and document vital signs and patient condition changes.
  • Maintain accurate patient records of treatments, medications, and status.
  • Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care.
  • Administer and monitor IV medications/fluids; manage IV lines.
  • Provide catheter care (insertion as applicable, maintenance, complication monitoring).
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing.
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care.
  • Address patient comfort and safety: positioning, mobility assistance, pain management.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide basic life support per protocols.
  • Follow infection control practices and PPE use.
  • Handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies per regulations.
  • Promote preventive care (vaccinations, screenings) and support health assessments.
  • Advocate for patient rights and needs.
  • Supervise CNAs/UAPs when assigned.
  • Participate in ongoing education to maintain clinical competency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
