Overview:
Join a Concord, NH team on a 14-week contract caring for patients on the evening/night shift. This role starts ASAP, follows a 07:00 PM–07:00 AM schedule, and pays $1,274 per 36-hour week (local rate). You’ll work under RN and physician guidance to deliver hands-on nursing care in a fast-paced setting.

Required credentials:

• Valid, active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
• BLS certification

What you’ll do:

• Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
• Perform patient assessments—health history, physical checks, and medication reviews—to help develop individualized care plans.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately and follow established protocols.
• Assess, clean, dress, and manage wounds or incisions while monitoring for signs of infection or complications.
• Monitor and document vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, respirations) and report changes in condition.
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of treatments, medications, and patient status.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and self-care to support recovery and wellness.
• Start, monitor, and manage IV therapy and IV medication administration as required.
• Provide catheter care including insertion, maintenance, and surveillance for complications.
• Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing and follow proper handling procedures.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate safe, effective care.
• Support patient comfort and safety through positioning, mobility assistance, and pain management.
• Respond quickly to medical emergencies, following protocols and delivering basic life support when needed.
• Follow infection control practices, proper hand hygiene, and PPE use to prevent spread of infection.
• Handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies safely and per regulations.
• Promote preventive health measures (vaccinations, screenings) and assist with health assessments.
• Advocate for patients’ rights and needs within the care team and facility.
• Stay current with nursing best practices, policies, and continuing education.
• In some situations, supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel to ensure consistent patient care.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
