We’re seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join a Concord, NH team for a 14-week contract beginning ASAP. This is a local, non-travel position on the 3:00 PM–11:00 PM shift. Compensation is $1,416 per 40-hour week.

What you’ll bring

  • Active, valid LPN license for the state of New Hampshire
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

What you’ll do
You’ll provide direct, compassionate nursing care under the direction of RNs or physicians. Typical duties include medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, vital sign monitoring, and routine assessments. You’ll document patient status and treatments, educate patients and families on care and self-management, and collaborate with the care team (RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff) to keep patient care coordinated and safe.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform patient assessments (physical exams, histories, medication reviews) and help develop individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately and according to protocol
  • Start, monitor, and maintain IV lines and IV medication/fluid administration
  • Evaluate, clean, dress, and monitor wounds for signs of infection or complications
  • Monitor and chart vital signs and changes in patient condition
  • Insert, care for, and monitor urinary catheters as needed
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing
  • Provide assistance with mobility, positioning, and comfort measures; support pain management
  • Respond to emergencies using established protocols and basic life support
  • Follow strict infection control practices and proper PPE use
  • Safely handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies
  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and preventive care
  • Advocate for patients’ needs and support their rights within the healthcare setting
  • Occasionally supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel as assigned
  • Maintain professional growth through ongoing education and training
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
