Overview
Locum tenens opportunity in Burbank, CA providing inpatient and outpatient OB/GYN coverage. Assignment begins Aug 3, 2026 and is ongoing. Agency covers travel, lodging, and malpractice.

Schedule & Coverage

• Clinical: 3–4 days/week, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM
• On-call weekdays: 3–4 shifts/week, 5:00 PM–7:00 AM; weekend call: 24-hour (7:00 AM–7:00 AM)
• Weekend frequency: approximately 1 per month
• Call type: beeper; response time 20–30 minutes
• Call ratio: 1:4
• Coverage type: clinical plus call; supplemental coverage need

Patient & Facility

• Outpatient average daily volume: 18–20; inpatient: 2
• Annual deliveries: ~214
• Facility: Level III trauma center with onsite ultrasound; EMR: Epic
• Current OBGYN team: 2 physicians; support staff includes RNs (1), MAs (5), and PA/NP (1)

Privileges, Credentialing & Compliance

• Hospital privileges required
• Credentialing timeline: ~90 days

Clinical Expectations

• Provide comprehensive OB/GYN care in clinic and hospital settings
• Manage routine and complicated deliveries, including repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
• Interpret fetal monitoring (NST/CST/FSE) and manage fetal heart rate tracings
• Perform obstetric ultrasound and both office/minor and surgical gynecology procedures
• Participate in call rotation and maintain accurate case logs required for hospital credentialing

Qualifications

• BC/BE in Obstetrics & Gynecology (BC required within 5 years of residency)
• CA medical license and CA DEA registration required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Providers must have case logs to meet hospital credentialing requirements
