Schedule: Tue, Wed, Thu — 06:00 PM–06:30 AM
Rate: Travel: $1,318 / 36 hours

Requirements

  • Active, valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the appropriate state
  • BLS certification

Core responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care under RN or physician supervision (medication administration, wound care, vital signs)
  • Perform patient assessments (physical exam, medical history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and per protocol; monitor for effects and document
  • Dress, clean, and monitor wounds/incisions; identify and report signs of infection or complications
  • Monitor and accurately record vital signs and changes in patient condition
  • Maintain complete, timely patient documentation (treatments, medications, assessments, status changes)
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive measures
  • Initiate and monitor IV therapy and IV medications; ensure proper line function and site care
  • Manage urinary catheters (insertion as allowed by scope, routine care, monitoring for complications)
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) and prepare for lab analysis
  • Assist with patient comfort, positioning, mobility, and pain management
  • Respond to medical emergencies following established protocols and provide basic life support as needed
  • Follow infection control practices and PPE protocols
  • Safely handle, store, and dispose of medications and medical supplies per policy and regulation
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care
  • Advocate for patient rights and needs
  • Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when required by facility and scope of practice
  • Maintain professional competency through continuing education and training
  • Other duties as assigned by management
