Join a five-week, contract LPN assignment in Clovis, NM (start ASAP). This local, non-travel role offers a night shift schedule (06:00 PM–06:30 AM) and pays $1,145 per 36 hours.

Required credentials

  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
  • BLS certification

Core responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician direction, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Perform focused patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
  • Administer prescribed medications and IV therapies safely, monitor infusion sites, and ensure accurate dosing and documentation.
  • Clean, dress, and manage wounds and incisions; monitor for infection and complications.
  • Monitor and record vital signs and changes in patient condition; maintain accurate nursing documentation.
  • Collect and process specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing.
  • Care for urinary catheters (insertion, maintenance, monitoring).
  • Promote patient comfort and safety through positioning, mobility assistance, pain management, and preventive measures.
  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and self-care; advocate for patient needs.
  • Respond to emergencies using established protocols and provide basic life support as required.
  • Follow strict infection control practices, including hand hygiene and PPE use.
  • Safely handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies according to policy.
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and support staff to coordinate care; may supervise CNAs/UAPs when applicable.
  • Maintain professional development by staying current with nursing best practices and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
