Job Description
A facility in Dallas, TX seeks a Locum Surgical Specialties Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide inpatient consultation coverage for adult general surgery and trauma patients on weekends.
Schedule
- Weekend coverage only
- Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Practice setting
- Inpatient consultation service for adult general surgery and trauma
- Strong nursing support
- No First Assist (FA) responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Perform inpatient consults for general surgery and trauma patients
- Evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and provide follow-up care
- Collaborate with attending surgeons and multidisciplinary teams
- Accurately and efficiently document patient encounters
- Deliver patient-centered care in an acute care environment
Requirements
Nurse Practitioner
- NP: Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Acute Care Adult Certification required
- Active Texas APRN license
Physician Assistant
- PA: Board Certified or Board Eligible as required by Texas
- Active Texas PA license
Location
- Dallas, TX — major metro area with dining, sports, and cultural attractions
