Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) — Days, No Weekends, $1,612/40-hr, Mattoon IL

We’re looking for an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant to join an outpatient clinic in Mattoon, IL on a contract/travel basis. This is a daytime position (8:00 AM–4:30 PM), Monday–Friday — no weekends — starting 05/25/2026. The assignment is for 40 hours/week with a pay rate of $1,612 per 40 hours.

What you’ll be doing

• Provide hands-on PTA care in a busy outpatient setting, managing caseloads and delivering evidence-based interventions.
• Work closely with PTs and support staff to create and implement treatment plans, document progress, and coordinate patient care.
• Frequently treat patients following total knee replacement; total hip replacement experience is a plus.
• Maintain timely and accurate charting and communicate effectively with patients and the care team.

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 2 years’ PTA experience, preferably in a high-volume outpatient clinic.
• Strong background treating total knee replacement patients; total hip replacement experience preferred.
• Valid Illinois PTA license.
• BLS (AHA) certification.
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Mattoon (local candidates within 50 miles will not be considered).
