Looking for a locum tenens pathologist to join an inpatient team in Cape Girardeau, MO for short-term clinical coverage. This role covers both anatomic and clinical pathology, with supplemental coverage needed from June 22 to July 12, 2026.
What you’ll be doing
- Provide anatomic and clinical pathology services Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Participate in beeper call every other weekend with a 15-minute response time
- Round as needed and support a case volume of about 40–60 cases during the assignment
- Collaborate with a PA (PA handles grossing) and a histotech
- Document in Epic
Logistics and support
- Temporary privileges are available
- Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered
- Shift: clinical coverage plus call
- Service setting: inpatient
- Reason for coverage: supplemental
Requirements
- Active Missouri medical license
- Board certified in pathology
- BLS certification
