Travel RN Emergency Room (Nights, 5p5a) — Washington, IA (Contract)

We're looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join a busy Emergency Department in Washington, IA on a contract/travel basis. This is an overnight position (5:00 PM–5:00 AM) with an ASAP start. The 36-hour rate is $2,182.

What you’ll be doing

• Rapidly triage and assess patients as they arrive, prioritizing care based on acuity.
• Provide medications, treatments, and emergency interventions as needed.
• Continuously monitor patients, recognize changes in condition, and promptly communicate with physicians and the care team.
• Keep clear, accurate documentation of assessments, treatments, and patient records.
• Teach patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans.
• Contribute to ER safety and quality improvement efforts.

What we’re looking for

• Active RN license in the practicing state.
• ER experience is preferred; acute care background is also a good fit.
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• BLS required; ACLS, PALS, or TNCC certifications are preferred.
