We are seeking a board-certified Addiction Psychiatrist to provide locum tenens inpatient coverage in Everett, WA. This role focuses on medical detox for opiate and alcohol use disorders and requires collaboration with mid-level providers and participation in an on-call rotation.
Assignment details
- Location: Everett, Washington
- Type: Locum Tenens (ASAP – Oct 1, 2026)
- Setting: Inpatient medical detox
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; approximately two nights/week on-call (beeper; 20-minute response)
- Coverage: Clinical duties plus call
- Average daily census: ~6 patients
- Case mix: Opiate and alcohol detox; phone consults as needed
- Support: 2 PA/NP colleagues
- EMR: Epic
- Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided
- Temporary privileges available
Key responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based medical detoxification care for patients with opioid and alcohol use disorders
- Manage medication-assisted treatment including Librium, Suboxone, Methadone, Sublocade, and Subutex
- Coordinate care and clinical decision-making with two PA/NPs and other inpatient staff
- Participate in the on-call rotation (two nights/week) and respond within 20 minutes when paged
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic
Requirements
- Board-certified in Addiction Psychiatry (BC required)
- Washington medical license or participation in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
- Fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry required
- BLS certification
