OB Hospitalist opening in North Carolina
Located in Winston-Salem, NC

Details:
- Sustainable hospitalist schedule, strong clinical support, competitive compensation, and the ability to practice meaningful inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care within a collaborative, physician-led health system.
- Full-time opportunity features a highly desirable schedule of just seven 24-hour in-house shifts per month, offering exceptional work-life balance while maintaining meaningful clinical impact.
- Total compensation package exceeding $200/hour — starting at $160/hr base plus comprehensive benefits including a $40,000 sign-on bonus, 401K match, tail coverage, malpractice, CME allowance, and relocation support.
- Additional earning opportunities may include extra shifts, emergency coverage, holiday premium pay, surgery assist compensation, and shift coverage at additional regional medical centers.
- A partner-provider 12-hour daytime shift model may also be available.
- Responsibilities:
Labor and delivery coverage
OB triage
Emergency Department consults
Delivery backup
First assist for C-sections
Support for obstetric and gynecologic emergencies
Inpatient consultative services
Community OB/GYN providers cover advanced gynecologic surgery and serve as backup support, allowing hospitalists to focus on core inpatient OB/GYN hospitalist responsibilities.
- The Winston-Salem-area OB Hospitalist team averages approximately three service deliveries monthly and 244 encounters monthly, creating a manageable clinical environment with meaningful patient impact and strong interdisciplinary collaboration.

Winston-Salem, NC is located in the Triad area of NC. It is the 5th largest city in the state and is known as the "City of the Arts". The city effortlessly blends historic character with modern amenities. The vibrant metro community offers many cultural and recreational activities, dining and shopping amenities.
