• Active, valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
• BLS certification

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN/physician direction: administer medications, perform wound care, monitor and document vital signs.
• Conduct patient assessments (physical exam, medical history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately, following protocols and ensuring correct dosing.
• Evaluate, clean, dress, and monitor wounds, incisions, and injuries for infection or complications.
• Record and maintain accurate patient documentation: condition changes, treatments, medication administration.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, self-care, and preventive health measures.
• Administer and monitor IV medications and fluids; ensure proper IV line insertion and function.
• Provide catheter care (insertion, maintenance, monitoring) and collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for labs.
• Assist with patient comfort and safety: positioning, mobility support, and pain management.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide basic life support per protocol.
• Follow infection control practices, including hand hygiene and PPE use.
• Safely handle, store, and dispose of medications and medical supplies per regulations.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (RNs, physicians, therapists, support staff) to coordinate care.
• Advocate for patient rights and needs within the healthcare system.
• Maintain current knowledge of nursing best practices and participate in ongoing education.
• May supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
