Join a busy inpatient team in El Paso, Texas, providing comprehensive anesthesia care for adult patients. This locum tenens opportunity runs from June 1 to December 31, 2026, with coverage expected roughly three weeks per month. Typical weekday schedule is Monday–Friday, 10-hour shifts, with beeper call as needed (call preferred but not required). Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered by the agency.

What you’ll be doing

• Deliver general anesthesia for adult patients across a varied case mix.
• Perform regional anesthesia when required.
• Supervise CRNAs in the clinical setting and occasionally work independently.
• Manage complex cases including neuro, spine, orthopedic (including complete ortho), vascular, thoracic, and obstetric procedures.
• Maintain coverage for a minimum of three weeks each month.

Patient and case mix

• Adult patient population
• Procedures include regional and general anesthesia for cases such as complex vascular, head/spine/neurosurgery, thoracic, OB, and full orthopedic lists
• Pediatric cases are not required, but pediatric experience is a plus

• Inpatient setting with five operating rooms

Requirements

• Board certified (BC) in Anesthesiology
• Texas medical license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications

Notes

• Cardiac and pediatric anesthesia are not required for this role.
