Contract Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) — Correctional Mental Health (Green Bay, WI)

Contract opportunity in Green Bay, WI (Start: ASAP) — 26-week assignment. Schedule: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. Rate: $48.20/hr.

We are seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor to deliver mental health services within a secure correctional setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in correctional, clinical, or community mental health environments and strong crisis-intervention and risk-assessment skills. This role requires clear, timely documentation and collaborative work with interdisciplinary teams to support inmate well-being and safety.

Requirements

• Active Wisconsin LPC license.
• Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
• Experience in correctional, clinical, or community mental health preferred.
• Demonstrated crisis intervention and suicide/risk-assessment skills.
• Ability to function effectively within a secure facility and with security protocols.
• Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health assessments, screenings, and diagnostic evaluations for inmates.
• Provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based modalities.
• Develop, implement, and revise individualized treatment plans.
• Respond to mental health crises, complete suicide risk assessments, and provide crisis stabilization.
• Collaborate with medical, psychiatric, and security staff as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with WI DOC standards.
• Participate in case reviews, treatment meetings, and program development.
• Deliver psychoeducation on coping strategies, behavior management, and rehabilitation.
• Adhere to ethical standards, confidentiality requirements, and facility safety protocols.
