Location: High Point, NC | Type: Contract (Non-Travel) | Start: ASAP | Duration: 7 weeks
Shift: 3:00 PM–11:30 PM | Rate: Local $1,104 per 40 hours

Overview
Provide direct nursing care in a clinical setting under RN or physician supervision. Deliver safe, patient-centered care, document accurately, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support positive outcomes.

Minimum Requirements

  • Active, valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
  • BLS certification

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform patient assessments (vital signs, focused physical exams, medication review) and contribute to individualized care planning.
  • Administer medications, IV fluids and medications, and treatments according to orders and facility protocols; ensure accurate dosing and documentation.
  • Provide wound care: evaluate, clean, dress, and monitor for signs of infection or complications.
  • Monitor and record vital signs and changes in patient condition; maintain clear, timely clinical documentation.
  • Manage urinary catheters (insertion, maintenance, monitoring) and collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive measures.
  • Support patient comfort and safety: mobility assistance, positioning, pain management, and basic nursing procedures.
  • Respond to emergencies with appropriate interventions and basic life support as needed.
  • Follow infection control practices and proper use/disposal of medications and supplies.
  • Advocate for patients and coordinate care with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and other staff; may supervise CNAs/UAPs when assigned.
  • Maintain professional development by staying current with nursing practices, regulations, and required training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
