We’re looking for an Interventional Cardiologist to provide locum tenens STEMI call coverage for an inpatient facility in Tucson, AZ (85712). This is a call-only assignment running May 21 – July 31, 2026. You’ll be on a beeper system with a 30-minute response time and an expected callback rate of about 10%. This role is supplemental coverage.

What you’ll do

• Provide 24-hour STEMI call coverage and respond to beeper pages within 30 minutes.
• Manage admissions as needed and handle cardiology phone consultations.
• Expect a typical patient volume of about 2 patients seen and 2 admissions, plus roughly 3 phone consults during your coverage periods.

Requirements

• Board certified (BC) in Interventional Cardiology and completion of fellowship.
• Active AZ medical license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Hospital privileges are not required prior to start; temporary privileges are available.

• Inpatient service setting using Epic for charting.
