PACU Registered Nurse (RN) — Travel Contract, Gunnison CO

Join a contract/travel assignment in Gunnison, CO (start: ASAP) working in the PACU. Compensation: $1,776 per 30-hour period.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the practicing state.
• BLS required; ACLS or PALS preferred.
• PACU, post-anesthesia, or perioperative nursing experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and interpersonal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide focused post-anesthesia care: monitor vital signs, airway, pain, and overall patient status immediately after procedures.
• Administer medications and pain-management interventions per orders and facility protocols.
• Rapidly recognize and respond to changes in condition or complications, escalating care as needed.
• Deliver clear patient and family education on post-procedure care and discharge instructions.
• Accurately document care and communicate collaboratively with surgical and anesthesia teams.
