TeamHealth is seeking an academic-focused emergency medicine physician to serve as core faculty of the EM Residency Program at Mercy Health - St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an EM physician passionate about teaching, mentorship, and academic medicine to join one of the nation's most established residency programs, training emergency physicians for more than 50 years!

Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center Emergency Medicine Program is an ACGME accredited three-year program, offering 14 positions each year. Under tenured and highly experienced leadership, the faculty is dedicated to the residents excelling and becoming the best emergency physicians possible. Since its inception in 1974, the program has graduated nearly 500 emergency medicine physicians, many of whom now practice across 26 states and multiple international locations. This reflects the programs long-standing tradition of academic excellence and its impact on emergency care both nationally and globally.

Mercy Health - St. Vincent Medical Center
- Annual ED Volume: 60,000 visits
- ED beds: 51 beds
- Acuity: High, 24% admission rate
- Level I trauma center and pediatric level II trauma center
- Certified stroke center and burn center (only one in the Toledo area)
- Main training site for Mercy Health St. Vincent EM Residency Program
- Coverage: 56 hours of physician coverage (no APC coverage)
- Shifts: 8 hours
- EMR: Epic documentation
- Employee: W2 Employee with benefits
- Clinical track option available as well
- Board certification by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM)
- Active medical license and hospital privileges or eligibility in Ohio
- Must have strong interest in teaching and academics
- Prior experience in academics with an ACGME-accredited residency program preferred

About TeamHealth Mercy St Vincent Medical Center
Established in 1855, Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center (MSVMC) was the first hospital in Toledo, Ohio. Today, MSVMC is the critical-care regional referral center and teaching center within the Mercy Health system, a seven hospital, faith-based system serving northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan. The medical center is a Level I Trauma Center that holds the highest designation for treating high-risk mothers and babies with a Level III NICU. MSVMC also received the highest level of accreditation in stroke care with the Joint Commission's Advanced Certification for Comprehensive Stroke Center accreditation.
