**Gastroenterology - ERCP Opportunity**
**Location: Conway, SC**
**Board Certified / Eligible in Gastroenterology**
Scope of Practice & Patient Volumes
• 80% procedural (lab-based) / 20% clinic-based practice
• Average clinic volume: 20–25 patients per day
• Average procedural volume: 11–12 patients per day
• Physician on call handles inpatient consults and rounding
• 7,000+ endoscopy cases annually
• Advanced equipment including 180/190 HD scopes and new C-arms
• Full range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy services
• Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS): 236+ cases annually, growing volume
• Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP): 187+ cases annually, growing volume
• Newly introduced capsule endoscopy program
• Management of gastrointestinal diseases including liver, gallbladder, and pancreatic conditions
• Call schedule: currently 1:4 (8 days/month), transitioning to 1:6 in 2026
• Inpatient care is consultative only
• Team structure: 4 physicians and 3 advanced practice providers
• Dedicated inpatient NP starting February 2026
• Average wait time for appointments: 3+ weeks
Facilities & Support
• Main campus includes 4 procedure rooms and 8 pre-/post-operative holding rooms
• Integrated single-site model combining ASC, clinic, and hospital for efficiency
• Advanced imaging and diagnostics available, including PET scanning, 64-slice CT, 3D mammography, breast MRI, and high-definition endoscopy/bronchoscopy
• Multidisciplinary tumor boards held bi-weekly (breast, PCC, GI, ENT)
• Established referral network for surgical specialties including breast, colorectal, and vascular
• Bone marrow transplant referrals coordinated with tertiary centers in Charleston
• Academic environment with ACGME-accredited programs including family medicine residency, transitional year, and sports medicine fellowship
• Opportunity to engage with medical students and trainees
• Research alignment with a major academic partner, providing access to ~450 clinical trial protocols
• Currently pursuing accreditation through the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer
