Locum Tenens Pediatrician (Inpatient/Call-Only) — Portage, WI (May 15, 2026 Ongoing)

Join a Portage, WI hospital to provide inpatient pediatric locum tenens coverage. This beeper-based, 24-hour call assignment begins May 15, 2026 and is ongoing, with immediate need for May 15–22 and recurring coverage of 2–3 weeks per month (including weekends). Coverage is supplemental and call-only; response time is 30 minutes.

Clinical expectations and environment:

• Service setting: Inpatient pediatrics (7-bed department)
• Trauma Level IV, Nursery Level I
• Typical patient volume: 0–2 patients while on call
• Phone consults: ~2; admissions: 0–2; rounding required
• Procedures: newborn intubation (ETT/NT), circumcisions (must be able to perform)
• Support: 2 RNs
• EMR: Epic
• Temporary privileges available
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered

Schedule and logistics:

• Call type: 24-hour beeper call
• Call ratio: 0–2; callback rate ~1%

Requirements:

• Active WI medical license or participation in IMLC
• Board certified in Pediatrics
• ACT 10 acceptable
• BLS and NRP certification
• Ability to perform circumcisions
