Seeking a Pediatric Anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage at an inpatient facility in Tacoma, WA. Coverage is needed ASAP and ongoing to provide clinical care and 24-hour call (beeper response within 30 minutes; call ratio 1:2). Shift schedule to be determined.
Clinical environment and responsibilities:
- Service setting: Inpatient; 22 beds in the department; Level II trauma center
- Case mix: Cardiac (including open heart), complete orthopedics, head & spine, neurosurgery, pediatric, thoracic
- Procedures required: spinal anesthesia, open heart anesthesia, arterial and central line placement
- Typical patient volume: low (1) with support from 3 RNs
- EMR: Epic
Credentials and logistics:
- Required: Washington license or participation in IMLC, board certified, BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Temporary privileges available
- Travel, lodging, and and malpractice insurance covered
This role is supplemental coverage to support the existing team and deliver subspecialty pediatric anesthesia care.
