Location: Atlanta, GA _ major metro area with international airport access
Dates: 8/3/2026 _ 12/31/2026
Rate: Negotiable (tell us your rate)
Scheduling: Full-time or part time (tell us your availability)
Malpractice & travel/lodging expenses are included.
Job Details
Coverage type: Scheduled clinical hours
Practice setting: Inpatient surgical setting
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30a - 4:30p with occasional late cases and possible rotating weekends
Patient volume: Approximately 10 cases per day
EMR: Epic
Credentialing timeframe: approximately 60 days
Providers requested: 3
Admissions required: No
Clinical Responsibilities
First assist in surgical cases across multiple specialties
Primary focus on general surgery with additional cases in orthopedics, OB/GYN, urology, and ENT
Assist surgeons in the operating room for scheduled procedures
Support perioperative patient care during surgical cases
Use of Epic EMR for documentation
Support Structure
Surgical team includes surgeon, scrub tech, circulating RN, and CRNA
Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Active Georgia license required
BLS certification required
Experience in surgical assisting required
