Job Description

A well-established non-profit FQHC serving California’s Central Coast, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Medicine Physician to join its growing outpatient team.

We are dedicated to improving access to high-quality, affordable healthcare for underserved communities throughout San Luis Obispo and Northern Santa Barbara counties. Position Highlights

  • 100% outpatient primary care
  • Flexible scheduling options:
    • Monday–Friday (8a–5p or 9a–6p)
    • 4-day workweek options available
  • Patient volume:
    • 22–24 patients/day 
  • Shared telephone-only after-hours call
    • 7 days every 3 months
  • Collaborative Patient-Centered Medical Home model
  • Support staff includes:
    • 2 Medical Assistants
    • Dedicated nursing support
  • EMR: Athena One

Clinical Scope

Physicians will practice full-spectrum outpatient Family Medicine within scope of training and experience.

Preferred procedural experience includes:

  • Pap smears
  • Minor laceration repair
  • Joint aspiration/injections
  • Skin biopsies

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary starting at $270,000
  • Productivity incentives:
    • $20 per encounter over 400 billable visits/month
  • Additional quality and APP supervision bonuses
  • Earning potential up to $400,000 annually
  • Signing bonus up to $50,000
  • Relocation assistance up to $20,000

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
  • Active California license or eligibility
  • BLS certification required
  • Eligible for Medicare and Medicaid enrollment
  • Must not be sanctioned by CMS
