Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) — Outpatient, Developmental Disabilities Care — West Seneca, NY

We’re looking for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join an outpatient team in West Seneca, NY, providing on-site psychiatric care and consultative services for individuals with developmental disabilities. This is a clinical, contract position starting ASAP with a minimum one-year term and the possibility to renew up to five years.

Schedule and setting

• Outpatient clinic in West Seneca, NY
• 8–10 hours per week (can be completed in one full day or split across Wednesday and Friday)

What you’ll do

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments based on observation and patient interaction, documenting clear, concise findings.
• Provide ongoing psychiatric care, including prescribing psychotropic medications electronically as appropriate.
• Monitor medication effectiveness and side effects and make adjustments as needed.
• Offer crisis intervention and initiate pharmaceutical treatment when necessary.
• Participate in developing treatment plans and coordinating case management.
• Facilitate psychiatric inpatient admissions or review prospective transfers when required.
• Deliver in-service training to staff to support quality care and attend required trainings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for

• Active New York state NP license
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• DEA registration
• Minimum one year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities
• Enrolled in Medicaid/Medicare
