Join a busy outpatient family medicine practice in Lawrenceville, GA (30046) as a locum tenens physician covering a retiring provider. This full-scope role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., starting ASAP through September 30, 2026. Travel, lodging, and malpractice are provided by the agency.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, from newborns through adolescents and adults.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in Epic.
• Collaborate with RNs, MAs, PA/NPs, and office staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality outpatient care.
• Perform clinical duties during scheduled weekday shifts.

Practice details

• Average volume: ~20 patients/day
• EMR: Epic (proficiency required)
• Support: 1 RN, 2 MAs, 1 PA/NP, 3 office staff
• Credentialing timeline: 21 days

Preferred clinical skills and procedures

• Well-woman care, colposcopy, endometrial biopsy, IUD insertion/removal, D&C
• Prenatal care, vaginal deliveries, C-sections, VBAC, instrument-assisted deliveries
• Newborn and pediatric care (birth–18 years), newborn resuscitation, newborn care
• Ultrasound, general outpatient and inpatient care, PICU inpatient, pediatric hospitalist experience

Requirements

• Board certified in Family Medicine
• Hold a Georgia medical license or participate in IMLC (Universal License)
• BLS certification
• Comfortable seeing all ages and performing the preferred procedures listed
