Locum Tenens Orthopedic Surgeon Inpatient Call Coverage (Hobbs, NM)

Locum tenens opportunity in Hobbs, NM providing inpatient orthopedic coverage. Call-only position beginning Dec 1, 2026 and ongoing. Schedule: 24-hour beeper call (7:00 AM–7:00 AM), approximately two weeks per month with occasional sporadic coverage. Typical adult patient volume averages 1–4 cases per day. Call response time expected within 20–30 minutes. This role supplements the existing team of two orthopedic surgeons and one PA/NP, with on-site lab and x‑ray; the facility uses Epic.

Required clinical experience: total joint replacement and joint revision/repair cases; case logs from the past 24 months must be submitted.

Qualifications: BC/BE in Orthopedic Surgery, New Mexico medical license, and NM DEA registration. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered by the agency.
