Job Description
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for an ongoing Neurological Surgery locum opportunity in Pennsylvania. This position offers a mix of inpatient neurosurgery coverage, ICU rounding, surgical assisting, and clinic rotation alongside an established APP team.
Overview:
- Start Date: ASAP pending credentialing
- Schedule: Monday-Sunday, 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Coverage Need: Approximately 16 shifts per month
- Full-time preferred, but open to part-time providers
- No call required
- Temporary privileges available
- EMR: Epic
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Existing patient rounding
- Surgical site checks
- Drain and ICP monitor management
- ICU daily notes
- Surgical assisting (if comfortable)
- Clinic rotation with APP team
- Coordination with neurosurgeons and inpatient teams
- Procedures include laminectomy, spinal fusions, craniotomy, thrombectomy and burr holes
Requirements:
- NP or PA
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Active Pennsylvania license required
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- BLS and CPR required
- IMLC accepted
