We’re seeking an OB/GYN physician to provide outpatient clinical coverage in Elko, Nevada. This is a locum tenens opportunity with an ASAP start and ongoing coverage needed. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered by the agency.

Schedule & Coverage

• Clinic days Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Coverage periods: Jun 4–11, 2025; Jun 15–22, 2025; Jun 29–Jul 9, 2025
• Reason for coverage: scheduling need
• Clinical-only coverage (no hospital privileges required and no temporary privileges available)

Patient & Clinical Load

• Average volume: about 20 patients per day
• Rounding responsibilities: both inpatient and outpatient as needed
• Expect to see patients in clinic 3–4 days per week

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including prenatal management
• Perform routine and complicated deliveries, including decision-making for and performing C-sections
• Manage low- and high-risk pregnancies, multiple births, breech deliveries, abruptions
• Perform and interpret OB ultrasounds (Level I/II screening and targeted)
• Conduct fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE) — preferred
• Repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerations, low forceps deliveries, and VBACs (preferred)
• Office and minor gynecologic procedures: IUD placement, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.
• Operative/major gynecologic procedures: ectopic management, oophorectomy, cystectomy, extensive lysis of adhesions

Facility & Support

• EMR: MEDHOST
• Support staff: 1 RN, 1 MA, 1 PA/NP, plus 2 office staff

Qualifications

• Board: Eligible
• Must hold an NV license or be eligible for the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
• ABLS certification required
• Fellowship required

Administrative & Documentation

• Maintain accurate patient records in MEDHOST
• Collaborate closely with RNs, MAs, PA/NPs, and office staff to ensure high-quality patient care
