Join a locum tenens OB/GYN team in Hood River, OR, providing inpatient and outpatient clinical coverage beginning Sep 1, 2026, with open-ended duration. Schedule: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Call: beeper system with weeknight coverage (5:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.) and one 24-hour weekend beeper shift; typical call response time 20–30 minutes. Agency covers travel, lodging, and malpractice.

Practice details

• Service setting: Inpatient/outpatient
• Average daily patient volume: ~15
• Case mix: OB/GYN care including deliveries, minor gynecology, and OR surgeries
• EMR: Epic
• Support staff: 2 RNs, 4 MAs
• Hospital privileges required (temporary privileges not available)

Clinical responsibilities

• Provide full-time clinical coverage four days per week
• Take eight beeper shifts per month, including one 24-hour weekend shift
• Manage routine and emergency OB/GYN care: deliveries, ectopic emergencies, and inpatient care
• Perform office procedures, minor gynecologic procedures, and select OR cases
• Participate in a virtual interview with the clinical team

Required clinical skills/procedures

• Low-risk pregnancy care; fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
• OB ultrasound performance and interpretation (Level I/screening/viability)
• Routine vaginal deliveries, low forceps, decision-making for and performance of C-sections
• Management of complicated deliveries (breech, multiple births, abruptions, VBACs)
• Repair of 3rd–4th degree lacerations
• Office/minor gynecology (IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.)
• Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures (tubal ligation, oophoropexy, etc.)
• Operative/major procedures including ectopic surgery, oophorectomy, cystectomy, extensive adhesiolysis

Preferred skills

• High-risk pregnancy management
• Advanced surgical gynecology and open procedures

Qualifications

• Board certified or board eligible (BC or BE within 3–5 years)
• Oregon medical license required
• DEA registration required
• BLS and NRP certification required
• Must provide case logs from the past 24 months to obtain OB/GYN hospital privileges
