Locum Tenens Pediatrician (Inpatient, Call-Only) — Livingston, TN

We’re looking for a pediatric physician to provide locum tenens inpatient call coverage in Livingston, Tennessee (38570). Coverage begins June 4, 2026 and will continue on an ongoing basis to cover vacation needs. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are arranged and paid for by the staffing agency.

What the shift looks like

• Service setting: Inpatient, call-only coverage
• Average daily volume: 2–4 patients
• Typical admissions: ~1 per day
• Rounding: assigned patient list
• Phone consults: ~2–3 per day

Facility and support

• EMR: MEDHOST
• Nursing and support staff: 6 RNs, 1 MA, and 2 office staff
• Temporary hospital privileges are available; permanent hospital privileges are not required

Procedures and skills we prefer

• Neonatal and pediatric ventilation management (including neo-puff)
• Endotracheal and nasotracheal intubation (newborns and children)
• Non-invasive ventilation
• Sedation: conscious and deep
• Central and arterial line placement; UVC and UAC
• Lumbar puncture, paracentesis, thoracentesis
• Chest tube insertion; needle decompression for pneumothorax
• X-ray and EKG interpretation; PA catheter management
• Exchange transfusion
• Minor laceration suturing; circumcision (type)
• Swallow studies

Credentials required

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics (BC required/preferred)
• Tennessee medical license
• Current BLS and PALS certifications
• Fellowship training preferred
