Job Description
Join a high-performing orthopedic trauma team at a busy Level II Trauma Center in Beaumont, about an hour east of Houston. We’re seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work alongside orthopedic trauma surgeons in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting. You’ll see a wide range of injuries—from pelvis and acetabular fractures to common hand injuries and routine pediatric fractures—while enjoying strong team support and a predictable schedule with no after-hours call.
What you’ll experience
- Work in a busy Level II Trauma Center with a focused orthopedic trauma service.
- Manage a broad mix of cases, including pelvis and acetabular trauma, general orthopedic trauma, hand injuries, and routine pediatric fractures.
- Be part of a collaborative surgical and inpatient care team where APPs are on-site daily from 7:00 AM–5:00 PM.
- Work 10-hour shifts in a full-time schedule that totals 175 shifts per year, with no after-hours call responsibilities.
Core responsibilities
- Round with the on-call orthopedic trauma surgeon and participate in inpatient care.
- Evaluate and manage new consults and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams.
- Assist in the operating room as needed and support perioperative patient management.
Compensation & benefits
- Base annual pay: $140,000.
- Additional shifts paid at $800 per shift.

- Reasonable travel expenses to Beaumont covered, and lodging provided.
Who we’re looking for
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Orthopedic or surgical experience preferred; trauma experience strongly preferred.
- Comfortable assisting in the OR and managing inpatient orthopedic patients.
- Strong communicator who thrives in a team-based environment.
