Fellowship-Trained Orthopedic Hand Surgeon — Level II Trauma, Rapid City (No Billing)

Join a respected orthopedic team in Rapid City, SD, working in a modern facility that supports a busy Level II Trauma Program. This role offers a mix of acute hand and upper-extremity trauma coverage and the chance to grow an elective hand surgery practice in a thriving regional market.

What you’ll be doing

• Provide care for acute hand and upper-extremity trauma cases within a collaborative orthopedic trauma service.
• Perform elective hand surgery procedures and develop your elective practice, supported by a strong regional referral network.
• Operate in modern ORs with advanced surgical technology and state-of-the-art clinical space.
• Work a block-style schedule of 10–14 consecutive shifts covering the Orthopedic Trauma Service, allowing focused clinical time and predictable blocks for personal life.
• Concentrate on patient care and surgery—there are no billing or coding responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Fellowship training in Orthopedic Hand Surgery required.
• Recent or current experience in orthopedic hand surgery preferred.
• Comfortable managing both trauma and elective upper-extremity cases.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to care.
