Orthopedic Trauma APP (NP/PA) — Level II Trauma, OR & Inpatient, No After-Hours Call

Join a high-performing orthopedic trauma team at a busy Level II Trauma Center in Texas. Work alongside orthopedic trauma surgeons in a high-acuity setting managing a broad spectrum of orthopedic injuries.

Position highlights

• Practice at a Level II Trauma Center with a high-acuity orthopedic trauma service
• Clinical exposure: pelvis and acetabular fractures, general orthopedic trauma, hand injuries, routine pediatric fractures
• APP coverage on-site daily, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
• 10-hour shifts; full-time = 175 shifts annually
• No after-hours call responsibilities
• Collaborative surgical and inpatient care environment

Primary responsibilities

• Round with on-call orthopedic trauma surgeon
• Evaluate and manage new consults
• Assist in the operating room
• Provide inpatient orthopedic trauma care
• Coordinate patient management with multidisciplinary teams

Compensation & benefits

• Base annual compensation: $140,000
• Additional shift pay: $800/shift

• Reasonable travel expenses to Beaumont covered; lodging provided

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Texas
• Orthopedic or surgical experience preferred; trauma experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable assisting in the OR and managing inpatient orthopedic patients
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
