Job Description
- Call coverage 7 - 10 days per month with 1 weekend per month
- 24-hour call shifts with beeper call and 30-minute response time
- Average 25 - 50 patients daily census
- 1 - 15 patients per shift with 1 - 2 admissions per shift
- 10 beds in neurosurgery department
- General neurosurgery procedures required
- 6 - 18 phone consults per 24 hours with 50% callback rate
- Ongoing coverage assignment
- Paid malpractice insurance; pre-paid travel and housing expenses
- Assignment details and time entry in online portal
