Schedule: 06:45 AM – 07:15 PM
Rate: $950 / 36 hours

Requirements:

  • Active, valid LPN license for the hiring state
  • BLS certification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician direction: medication administration, wound care, vital signs.
  • Perform patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to care plans.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately and per protocol.
  • Evaluate, clean, dress, and monitor wounds/incisions for infection or complications.
  • Monitor and document vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, respiratory rate) and changes in condition.
  • Maintain accurate patient records including treatments and medication administration.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive health measures.
  • Administer and monitor IV medications/fluids; ensure proper IV line function.
  • Manage urinary catheters: insertion, maintenance, monitoring for complications.
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing.
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff for coordinated care.
  • Attend to patient comfort and safety: positioning, mobility assistance, pain management.
  • Respond to medical emergencies per protocols and provide basic life support as needed.
  • Follow infection control practices (hand hygiene, PPE) and safe handling/disposal of medications and supplies.
  • Advocate for patients’ rights and needs.
  • Participate in continuing education to maintain current nursing practices and regulations.
  • Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
