• Valid, active Physical Therapy Assistant state license

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist with patient evaluations: gather medical history, assess functional status, and participate in goal setting.
• Implement prescribed interventions and therapeutic exercise programs to improve mobility, strength, flexibility, and function.
• Administer modalities and operate therapeutic equipment as prescribed.
• Instruct patients and caregivers on exercise techniques, home programs, safety, and precautions.
• Document treatments, patient response, and progress accurately and promptly in patient records.
• Communicate and coordinate with the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team regarding treatment plans and patient status.
• Follow safety, infection control, and facility policies to maintain a safe therapy environment.
• Provide patient encouragement and support to promote adherence and progress.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
