We’re looking for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to join a team in Pittsfield, MA on a 13-week contract starting ASAP. This is a full-time weekday position (Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM). Pay is: Travel $2,383/36 hours or Local $2,347/36 hours.
What you’ll be doing:
- Conduct thorough assessments for speech, language, communication, and swallowing concerns.
- Interpret clinical and diagnostic findings to determine diagnoses and severity.
- Develop individualized treatment plans that match each patient’s goals and needs.
- Provide evidence-based therapy to improve articulation, fluency, voice, comprehension, and expression.
- Evaluate and treat dysphagia; teach safe swallowing techniques.
- Recommend and support use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) as appropriate.
- Teach patients and families practical strategies and home exercises to reinforce progress.
- Monitor, document, and adjust treatment plans based on ongoing progress.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, therapists, educators, and other team members to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate, timely patient records including assessments, plans, and progress notes.
- Help patients generalize improved communication skills to everyday settings—school, work, and home.
- Keep current with best practices and continuing education in speech-language pathology.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Current, active state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
