Rate: Local: $1,040 / 36 hours

Requirements:

• Active, valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
• BLS certification

Core responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician direction: medication administration, wound care, vital signs monitoring.
• Perform focused patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and implement individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and according to protocol.
• Manage wounds and incisions: assess, clean, dress, and monitor for infection/complications.
• Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patient condition.
• Maintain accurate patient records of treatments, medications, and clinical observations.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive health measures.
• Administer and monitor IV medications/fluids; ensure proper IV line function.
• Provide catheter care: insertion, maintenance, and monitoring for complications.
• Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing.
• Assist with patient mobility, positioning, comfort, and pain management.
• Respond to emergencies and provide basic life support as needed.
• Follow infection control protocols and proper PPE use.
• Handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies according to regulations.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and other staff for coordinated care.
• May supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned.
• Maintain professional competence through ongoing education and training.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
