Occupational Therapist (School) — Contract/Travel, Federal Way, WA (42-week)

We’re looking for an Occupational Therapist to join a supportive team in Federal Way, WA. This is a contract/travel role starting ASAP for approximately 42 weeks, Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.

Compensation

• Travel rate: $2,280 per 40 hours
• Local rate: $2,248 per 40 hours

What you’ll bring

• A current, active Occupational Therapy license for the state of Washington
• CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (with AED)

What you’ll do

• Assess patients’ physical and cognitive abilities and review their home or work environments to identify barriers and set realistic goals
• Develop person-centered treatment plans in collaboration with patients and the care team
• Use a variety of therapeutic techniques to improve daily living skills and increase independence
• Recommend and train patients on adaptive equipment and assistive devices
• Teach and practice everyday activities to build function and confidence
• Educate patients and families about condition management and strategies for independence
• Monitor and document progress, adjusting plans as needed to meet goals
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care
• Maintain accurate, timely records including evaluations, treatment notes, and progress reports
• Support patients’ transitions back to their communities and workplaces
• Stay up to date with best practices in occupational therapy and participate in professional development
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
