Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Vallejo, CA (14-week Contract)

We’re looking for a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to join a contract role in Vallejo, CA. This position starts ASAP for a 14-week assignment with a full-week schedule: Sunday through Saturday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Pay is competitive: Travel pay $1,505/35 hrs or Local pay $1,484/35 hrs.

What you’ll need

• A valid, active Physical Therapy Assistant state license.

What you’ll be doing

• Work alongside the Physical Therapist to evaluate patients, collect medical history, and help set realistic goals.
• Carry out prescribed interventions and therapeutic exercises to improve mobility, strength, and flexibility.
• Use treatment modalities and therapeutic equipment safely and effectively.
• Teach patients exercise programs and techniques, reinforcing home programs to support recovery.
• Document treatments, patient progress, and any changes in condition accurately and timely.
• Communicate and collaborate with the PT and the broader care team to coordinate treatment plans.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures to maintain a clean, safe therapy space.
• Offer encouragement and emotional support to patients as they work toward their goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
