We’re looking for a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to join a contract/travel assignment in Winchester, NH. This is a 14-week position starting ASAP with a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Travel pay: $1,505/35 hrs; Local pay: $1,484/35 hrs.
What you’ll do
- Support the Physical Therapist in evaluating patients by collecting medical histories and helping set realistic goals.
- Deliver prescribed interventions and exercise programs designed to improve mobility, strength, and flexibility.
- Apply modalities and operate therapeutic equipment safely and effectively as part of rehabilitation plans.
- Teach patients proper exercise techniques and home programs to reinforce progress outside the clinic.
- Communicate education and guidance to patients and their families to support recovery.
- Keep clear, accurate documentation of treatments, patient responses, and progress notes.
- Work closely with the PT and the broader healthcare team to coordinate care and discuss treatment plans.
- Follow safety and infection-control procedures to maintain a clean, safe therapy environment.
- Offer emotional support and encouragement to help patients stay motivated.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Valid and active Physical Therapy Assistant state license.
