Rate: Travel: $1,309/35 hours; Local: $1,288/35 hours

Minimum requirement:

• Valid, active Occupational Therapy Assistant state license

Primary responsibilities:

• Assist the Occupational Therapist with patient evaluations to identify physical and functional limitations.
• Collaborate on and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide interventions to improve motor skills, mobility, and activities of daily living.
• Instruct patients in use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment.
• Document patient status, treatments, progress, and changes in condition accurately and timely.
• Teach and coach patients and families on home exercise programs and carryover activities.
• Communicate and coordinate with the OT and interdisciplinary team for cohesive care.
• Follow safety and infection-control procedures to maintain a safe therapy environment.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients during therapy.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
