Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) — 14-Week Contract in Hilltop, WV

Join a team in Hilltop, WV as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist for a 14-week assignment starting ASAP. You’ll work a full-week schedule (Sun–Sat) from 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation is: Travel rate $2,072/35 hrs; Local rate $2,041/35 hrs.

What you need:

• A valid, active state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

What you’ll do:

• Conduct thorough assessments for speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders using clinical evaluations and diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose the type and severity of communication and swallowing issues.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s needs and goals.
• Deliver therapy to improve articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language skills.
• Evaluate and treat swallowing disorders, promoting safe swallowing techniques.
• Recommend and educate patients and families on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) options when appropriate.
• Teach strategies and exercises for carryover of skills into daily life, school, or work.
• Monitor, document, and adjust treatment plans according to patient progress.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records including assessments, plans, and progress notes.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and other team members to provide coordinated, holistic care.
• Stay current with best practices and developments in the field through professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
