Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Contract/Travel, 15-Week Assignment in Bowie, MD

Join a supportive rehab team in Bowie, MD on a 15-week contract (travel) assignment starting ASAP. This role follows an 08:00 AM–04:30 PM schedule and offers competitive pay: Travel rate $1,383/35-hours; Local rate $1,362/35-hours.

Must have a valid, active Physical Therapy Assistant license for the state.

What you’ll do:

• Work alongside the Physical Therapist to evaluate patients, gather medical history, and set realistic therapy goals.
• Implement prescribed interventions and therapeutic exercises to improve mobility, strength, and flexibility.
• Use modalities and therapeutic equipment safely and effectively to support rehabilitation.
• Teach patients proper exercise techniques and home programs to reinforce progress between sessions.
• Educate patients and their families about recovery plans and strategies for long-term function.
• Keep clear, timely documentation of treatments, patient responses, and progress notes.
• Communicate and coordinate with the PT and the broader healthcare team about treatment plans and patient needs.
• Follow safety and infection-control procedures to maintain a clean, safe therapy environment.
• Provide encouragement and emotional support as patients work toward their goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
