Required license:

• Valid, active Speech-Language Pathologist state license

Core responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing (dysphagia).
• Diagnose type and severity of communication and swallowing disorders using clinical evaluation and diagnostic testing.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Provide direct therapy to address articulation, fluency, voice, receptive/expressive language, and swallowing function.
• Implement and train patients/families on safe swallowing strategies.
• Evaluate and recommend augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) solutions when appropriate.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, strategies, and carryover of skills to daily settings (home, school, work).
• Monitor, document, and revise treatment based on patient progress; maintain accurate, timely clinical records (assessments, plans, progress notes).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (physicians, therapists, educators) to coordinate care.
• Participate in professional development to maintain current best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
