Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) — Hayward, CA | $2,244/35-hr 14-week Contract, ASAP Start

We’re seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join a team in Hayward, CA on a 14-week contract starting ASAP. You’ll work Tuesday–Saturday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, helping patients regain independence and return to their homes, communities, and jobs. This role is available as travel or local contract; pay is approximately $2,244/35 hrs (travel) or $2,212/35 hrs (local).

What we’re looking for:

• A valid, active Occupational Therapy state license
• Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (including AED)

What you’ll do:

• Assess patients’ physical and cognitive abilities as well as their environments to identify limitations and set realistic goals
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and the healthcare team
• Use a variety of therapeutic techniques to improve daily living skills and independence
• Recommend and instruct patients in the use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices
• Teach and practice activities of daily living to build patient skills and confidence
• Educate patients and families on condition management and strategies to maximize independence
• Monitor, document, and update patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated, patient-centered care
• Maintain accurate records including evaluations and progress notes
• Support patients’ transitions back to community and work settings
• Stay current with occupational therapy best practices and take part in professional development
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
