Coverage Period: June 1, 2026 – Ongoing
On-Call Shift: 24-hour beeper call (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
Typical Callback: ~2–6 hours/day
Coverage Dates:
- June 1 (7:00 AM) – June 5 (7:00 AM)
- June 8 (7:00 AM) – June 12 (7:00 AM)
- June 22 (7:00 AM) – June 26 (5:00 PM)
- July 4 (7:00 AM) – July 10 (5:00 PM)
- July 27 (7:00 AM) – July 31 (5:00 PM)
Patient Population & Volume:
- Adults 18+ (rare pediatric emergencies)
- ~24–28 patients/day
- Includes admissions, rounding, and phone consults
- General urology: clinic, procedures, OR cases, emergency call
Facility & Support:
- 593-bed hospital, Level I trauma
- EMR: Epic
- Equipment: cystoscope, towers, injection equipment
- Support staff: 4 MAs, 1 CSA, 1 RN
- APP supervision required
Privileges & Credentialing:
- Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges available with clean file
- Credentialing timeline: ~90 days
Required Procedures:
- Cystoscopy, ureteroscopy, lithotripsy
- Prostate procedures, vasectomy
- General urologic surgical procedures
- Robotic experience preferred but not required
Qualifications:
- PA medical license required or willingness to obtain
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology
- DEA required
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- Comfortable supervising APPs
Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient, outpatient, and surgical urology care
- Perform required procedures and participate in 24-hour call coverage
- Supervise APPs and collaborate with care team
- Document patient care in Epic
