Seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist for a contract assignment in Decorah, IA. This day-shift position begins ASAP and follows a 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule (36 hours/week). Compensation: $1,750 per 36-hour week.
Core responsibilities:
- Set up operating rooms and sterile instrument trays for procedures.
- Assist surgeons and nursing staff by passing instruments and maintaining sterile technique.
- Monitor and verify proper function of surgical equipment.
- Perform and document accurate counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies.
- Record procedural details and communicate effectively with the perioperative team.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
- Prior perioperative or surgical experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and teamwork skills.
- BLS certification preferred.
